There are not too many great camps in the Kalahari Game Reserve, but the few that are there are outstanding. Kalahari Plains is one such camp. The area is remote and hard to reach, but this makes the game viewing spectacular. The area is also populated with the acclaimed black-maned lions, an iconic feature of the Kalahari.
The camp itself consists of eight canvas tented rooms, and one large family room. The rooms are large and airy. They are also raised up in order to catch the breeze and ensure for a cool stay amidst the heat of the Botswana desert.
The communal areas include a lively dining area and a swimming pool where guests can relax and cool off during the hottest hours of the day.
