Delta Camp

Delta Camp lies on the southwestern edge of Chief’s Island, in the remote Xaxaba Concession along the western boundary of the Moremi Game Reserve. Accessible only by light aircraft and a mokoro ride, this intimate camp is one of the most authentic ways to experience the heart of the Okavango Delta.

Eight chalets, including two family units, blend seamlessly into their surroundings, offering sweeping views over floodplains scattered with towering palms. Built using local materials and powered by solar energy, the camp accommodates guests of all ages and even offers an in-house masseuse for a touch of relaxation after a day in the bush.

A single guide is assigned to each guest for the full duration of their stay, deepening the connection between visitor and place. Cultural visits to the guide’s home village offer a rare window into a life lived entirely within the Delta, alongside memorable encounters with the region’s abundant wildlife.

True to its wilderness setting, Delta Camp conducts all activities without the assistance of motors. Guided walks and traditional mokoro excursions are the only way to explore the surrounding islands and channels, offering an unhurried, low-impact safari experience among some of the richest game viewing in the Delta.
