Duba Explorers is a small, intimate camp — just 5 suites — founded by Dereck and Beverly Joubert, the wildlife filmmakers behind Great Plains Conservation, run in partnership with the Okavango Community Trust. It’s a genuinely special setting, and the predator action here (particularly the famous lion-versus-buffalo herd dynamic the Jouberts have documented on film) is hard to beat on paper. That said, NG23A isn’t my favourite concession — water levels limit what’s actually on offer here, and as it’s close to the pan handle split, it has permanent water that limits game drives.
