Hwange Bush camp is a budget seasonal lodge operational from May to November. The lodge is situated in an open grassland area to the north of the Hwange National Park. 6 Meru tents are comfortably decorated and are very hospitable. But make no mistake, it’s not an overly lavish camp. The idea of the Hwange Bush Camp is exploration, and to bring you close to nature. That said, they do go out of their way to make you as comfortable as possible.
There is a shady central area which is a great place to relax during the hotter parts of the day. Otherwise the focus of this camp is to get you into the bush and into the African safari experience. Wildlife viewings are great, and guides are very knowledgeable. It’s also a great camp to relax and unwind and get to know other travelers. Evenings are spent conversing around the bush fire.
