ACTIVITIES

🚙 Game Drives — off-road tracking and night drives, max. six per vehicle for a guaranteed window seat. Photographic beanbag supports available on request. Roof canopy removed at guide’s discretion or guest request when circumstances allow.
🚶 Nature Walks — off-road, on foot, with specialist walking guides.
🛶 Mokoro — seasonal during high water levels, best between May and September.
🚤 Boating — seasonal, best during flood season (May–Sep). Fishing during open season (Mar–Dec).

Much like it’s brother Rra Dinare in everyway, and only located 8km or so away, mma Dinare is a real gem. It was built a couple of years after Rra Dinare, but has more or less the same design. Perhaps more of a mirror image. Like Rra Dinare, it is located in the Sankuyo Concession. With the ever changing floods that feed into the Okavango river system, greater amounts of wildlife inhabit areas around both mma Dinare and Rra Dinare each year. They also have access to a truly massive concession, and there are very few lodges close by. In my opinion, both Mma Dinare and Rra Dinare occupy some of the best wildlife real estate in the Okavango. Large herds of wildlife funnel down the channels coming off the north of Chief’s Island, and then are boxed in by Khwai to the north and the Thamalkwane Rivver to the East and Southeast. It’s a large open concession and is a paradise for large cats and wild dogs. There is also generally year round mekoro which is a real bonus.
