Mokolwane sits on a private 180,000-hectare concession (NG29) in the southwestern corner of the Okavango Delta, on the Matsebi River system. It is the only camp on this stretch of concession, giving guests an exclusive, uncrowded corner of the Delta to explore.
Accommodation is just seven raised canvas tents, elevated roughly 3 metres above ground amid fig, jackalberry and Mokolwane palm trees, including one family tent. The camp keeps things simple and barefoot-luxury, with a classic safari fireside gathering area at its heart.
The concession is known for outstanding predator sightings, with healthy populations of lion, cheetah and wild dog, alongside general game. Being the sole operator in the area means genuinely private game viewing, day after day.
Activities include morning and afternoon game drives, mokoro excursions, birdwatching and, when arranged, scenic helicopter flights over the Delta. The camp is open year-round, with the classic dry season from May to September offering peak game concentrations.
