Moremi Crossing

Jutting out on a curve in the channel that runs through the Xaxaba Concession, Moremi Crossing is nestled between Gunn’s Camp which is just up river (and currently not operating) and Delta Camp and Oddballs camp to the south. It sits very close to the Moremi Game Reserve. What makes this camp special is the price point. It’s a true delta camp and includes both game drive and mekoro (water) activities, and is possibly the best bang for the buck in Botswana. It is very generously priced for the level of service on offer. While wildlife viewing in the Xaxaba concession is very good, the other qualities of this camp that stand out is the excellent honeymoon suite that looks out over the channel and flood plain, and the large number of rooms. With 16 tents (including two family tents), this is the largest camp in the Okavango (within the buffalo fence) and is a great option for larger groups.

ACTIVITIES

🚙 Game Drives — off-road tracking and night drives, max. nine guests to a vehicle. Drives may be restricted due to water levels.
🛶 Mokoro — seasonal during high water levels, best during flood season (May–Sep) when trips depart from camp.
🚤 Boating — seasonal, best during flood season (May–Sep) when trips depart from camp. Fishing during open season (Mar–Dec).
🏕️ Adventure Camping — available April–October. Pre-booked as a supplemental activity for one or two nights. Min. 2 and max. 6 guests in 3 private canvas bow tents with stretcher beds.
