Nokanyana lies at the easternmost extreme of the Okavango Delta, within the NG41 concession, on the banks of the Khwai River near its confluence with the Mababe River. The name means “little river,” reflecting the camp’s intimate setting overlooking game-rich floodplains.
Accommodation comprises ten spacious tents in total: seven luxury rooms and three luxury family suites, each with panoramic bush views, king-size beds, large private decks and en-suite bathrooms with double sinks and both indoor and outdoor rain showers.
The Khwai-Mababe confluence area is exceptional for game viewing, with large elephant herds, healthy predator populations including lion and wild dog, and prolific birdlife drawn to the floodplains and river frontage. The concession’s position between the Okavango Delta and the Chobe ecosystem gives it a unique blend of habitats.
Activities include morning and afternoon game drives across the concession, night drives, guided walks and birdwatching along the river frontage. The camp is open year-round and welcomes families thanks to its family suite accommodation.
