Rra Dinare

Rra Dinare always speaks to me on a personal note. It was one of the first camps I visited after returning to Botswana following my time living abroad in Latin America. Within the Sankuyo concession, I believe Rra Dinare (and it’s sister camp Mma Dinare) were built as more budget orientated camps by Kwando Safaris but have grown more and more comfortable over the years. However, as the years have flowed by along with the ever changing floods that feed into the Okavango river system, greater amounts of wildlife inhabit areas around the camps each year. In my opinion, both Mma Dinare and Rra Dinare occupy some of the best wildlife real estate in the Okavango. Large herds of wildlife funnel down the channels coming off the north of Chief’s Island, and then are boxed in by the generally heavy floods in Khwai to the north and the Thamalkwane to the East and Southeast. It’s a large open concession and is a paradise for large cats and wild dogs. There is also generally year round mekoro which is a real bonus.
