Tlouwana

Tlouwana Camp lies in the Lesoma Valley, part of the Kasane Forest Reserve just outside Chobe National Park, in far northern Botswana near the point where Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe all meet. The valley sits on the border with Zimbabwe, giving the camp a quiet, off-the-beaten-track feel close to Kasane.

Accommodation comprises 8 twin/double en-suite Meru-style safari tents plus one superior family tent, all set on raised decks with outdoor showers, shaded verandas and comfortable safari furnishings, along with air conditioning and floor-standing fans. Communal areas include a bar and lounge, open dining area, swimming pool and a raised game-viewing platform overlooking a waterhole just outside the camp’s electric perimeter fence.

Wildlife regularly passes through camp thanks to its position within the Kasane Forest Reserve, and the surrounding Chobe area is famed for its huge elephant herds along with buffalo, lion and abundant birdlife. Being outside the national park boundary, the camp is well placed for both park-based and forest reserve activities.

Activities include daily game drives into Chobe National Park, morning boat cruises on the Chobe River, night drives in the Chobe Forest Reserve, a cultural bicycle tour of Lesoma Village, and day trips to Victoria Falls. The camp is open year-round.
