Xaranna occupies a private island within a 62,000-acre concession in the heart of the Okavango Delta, roughly 25 minutes by light aircraft from Maun. Surrounded by seasonal and permanent waterways, the camp offers a secluded, exclusive setting away from other vehicles.
Accommodation comprises nine spacious tented suites, each with a private plunge pool, outdoor shower and sala day bed, along with a four-poster bed, indoor bath and shower, and sweeping views across the surrounding channels and floodplains.
The surrounding wetland habitat supports abundant birdlife, hippo, red lechwe and reedbuck, with elephant, giraffe, lion and buffalo passing through seasonally as they move between the Delta’s waterways and drier grazing areas.
Activities are shaped by water levels and include game drives in open 4WD vehicles, guided walking safaris, mokoro excursions, boat trips, birdwatching, night drives and catch-and-release fishing between March and December. Scenic helicopter flights can be arranged at an additional cost. Xaranna is open year-round and best suited to guests aged 12 and above.
