The Okavango Delta is a devastatingly beautiful place, and it is filled with animals. While there is a small population of rhino in the area, they are notoriously hard to spot. And so in order to give visitors wishing to see both the Okavango Delta and a rhino, we have put together a package that includes a trip to both the Delta and the Makgadikgadi Pans where visitors have a higher chance of seeing a rhino.
Upon your arrival in Maun, you will be met by a member of our friendly staff. From there they will introduce you to the professional bush pilot who will fly you on towards your exclusive camp in the Makgadikgadi Pans. There are a number of lodge options available in the Pans and we’ll give you different options based on budget, family friendly options, and more. One thing we’ll ensure is that you stay in a lodge that has a large resident rhino population.
Upon your arrival at the bush camp, you’ll be met by friendly staff, shown your room, and then invited on a game drive of the surrounding area. While not guaranteed, your chances of seeing a rhino are going to be much higher here in Makgadikgadi than in the Delta.
Following a relaxing game drive, you’ll be invited to a delicious meal under the stars.
This day can be dedicated to pretty much anything your heart desires. The idea is to give you time to relax, unwind, and enjoy the stunning sites of the Pans. Beyond Rhino game viewing drives, you make choose from a number of activities including horse riding, and even hot air ballooning.
After a delicious camp breakfast, you will be given time to pack your bags before your private pilot returns to fly you to the Okavango Delta. After a beautifully scenic flight you arrive in your exclusive lodge. Again, a number of different options are available, and we’ll ensure we find you the ultimate option that best matches your needs and budget.
After being shown to your luxurious tented room, and given a tour around the camp with a special spiel on how to handle dangerous animals should you come across any, you’ll be invited to enjoy the majestic surroundings from a viewing deck with a sun downer.
If there is time before dinner, perhaps a game viewing drive with a private guide, or a mokoro trip down the beautiful channels.
This day can be dedicated to pretty much anything your heart desires. The idea is to give you and your family time to relax, unwind, enjoy each other’s company, and also enjoy the stunning sites of the Okavango. You make choose from a number of activities including game drives, motor boat game viewing, mokoro rides, fishing, and more.
Last day of tour and after breakfast you’ll be transported to the airport for your connecting flight back home.
We hope to see you and your family again soon.
