Hout Bay, Cape Town

Today you will be collected from your hotel by private guide and taken on a full day tour of the City of Cape Town. Included within this tour are a visit to the top of Table Mountain and a visit to the District 6 Museum. Following the tour of the museum, you will be guided around the historic District Six site and learn how an entire community was removed from their homes and relocated during the apartheid government. After this you will proceed to stop at the Bokaap where you will see the famous Colourful houses in the Cape Quarter and stop to take some photos and greet the locals if they are in sight.

Kirstenbosch Gardens in Cape Town

In the morning you will be collected for your trip out to Robben Island. You board a ferry for the 45-minute boat ride to the famous island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 28 years. The Apartheid government wasn’t the first to use the island as a prison. In the 17th and 18th centuries, the Dutch sent political prisoners from the Dutch East Indies to the island. During your tour of the island, you will be lead around the island by an ex political prisoner who shared the island with Mandela.

Following lunch back in Cape Town, you will be taken on a tour of Kirstenbosch. These botanical gardens are world famous and well worth a visit. The tour begins with a walk through the award-winning Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens where, with minor exceptions, only indigenous plants are cultivated. Kirstenbosch celebrates 100 years of existence this year and there are several special displays to commemorate this.

Cape Town panoramic

Today you will check out from your hotel and then be led out by your private guide for a full day tour of Cape Point. The interactive Cape Point tour takes you along the beautiful Atlantic Seaboard giving you the opportunity to feast your eyes on rugged coastlines and other untainted geographic landmarks such as the Twelve apostles and the magnificent slopes of Lion’s head. The Atlantic Seaboard also known as Cape Town’s ‘Riviera’, stretches from the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront on the north shore of Table Mountain all the way down the west side of the Cape Peninsula to Hout Bay. You pass over the amazing Chapman’s Peak and then visit the stunning Cape Point. After visiting the lighthouse at Cape Point we head to False Bay and stop at Boulders Beach to view the endangered African Penguin.

Following the tour, you will be transferred in private vehicle to Stellenbosch. There you will be invited on a wine tour before being led to Stellenbosch. Our wine tours are led by expert sommeliers and we always try and ensure that our visitors experience the best vineyards on offer as well as those vineyards that best suit their preferences and personalities.

Cape Vineyards

The Cape Winelands Tour includes the best of each district and is packed with great tastings. If you want to experience the best the Cape Winelands can offer you during a full day tour, then this is it. Mokoro ride in the Okavango Delta

In the morning you will be collected from your hotel and transferred to Cape Town International Airport for your direct flight to Maun, Botswana.

Upon arrival at the international airport in Maun you will be met be a representative of the African Wild. Look out for a smiling face, that will be the person waiting for you. You’ll be introduced to your experienced private pilot who will check you through and onto your charter flight.

After a short 20-minute flight you arrive at your camp in the heart of the Okavango Delta. Each camp provides enchanting luxuries and amenities amidst a truly breath taking natural setting. Hippos do hippo-like things in a permanent lagoon in front of the camp, and elephants meander through and around the camp as they get along with daily elephant business.

After being shown to your luxurious tented room, and given a tour around the camp with a special talk on how to handle dangerous animals should you come across any, you’ll be invited to enjoy the majestic surroundings from a viewing deck with a sun downer.

Mokoro ride in the Okavango Delta

Today your Okavango adventure begins in earnest. This means a bush breakfast followed by a game drive. You’ll have met your private guide the day before. These guys are pros. Think about them like bush ninjas. They know how to sound out a lion from 20 kilometers away, track down the craziest of all the delta creatures, and listen to wildlife calls from different antelope to echo-locate leopards and cheetahs. Watching them in action is an almost religious experience, and you’ll want to make sure cameras and binoculars are at hand and ready for the duration of the game drive.

Following the game drive, it’s mokoro time. A mokoro is a traditional dug out wooden canoe that has become a symbol of life in the Okavango Delta. And there is no better way to explore the lush flood plains of the delta. Your experienced poler and guide takes you down river where’ll you get the chance to get up close and personal with some stunning wildlife.

A luxurious floating lunch will be served along the way. This water top culinary festival delights the senses, and the chef savors in pairing an excellent cold white wine with one of her signature dishes. This also has the effect of making a hot afternoon far more manageable.

Following the mokoro, there may be time for an evening game drive.

Zebra in the Okavango Delta

Following another delicious breakfast, and a game walk if you’re interested, you will be met by your pilot for your charter flight to a second Okavango Camp. We believe that the best way to experience the Delta is by spending time in at least two camops. You’ll fly quite low over the Delta in order to appreciate the stunning Okavango scenery from above.

Upon your arrival, you will meet your new bush guide and will be given a game drive. The area is a hotspot for wildlife, and both leopards, wild dogs, and lions are regularly spotted close to camp.

Moremi Crossing boat entrance

This day can be dedicated to pretty much anything your heart desires. The idea is to give you and your partner time to relax, unwind, enjoy each other’s company, and also enjoy the stunning sites of the Okavango. You make choose from a number of activities including game drives, mokoro rides, fishing, and more.

Chobe Rivantser Safari looking at elephants

After a delicious camp breakfast, you and the family will be given time to pack your bags before your private pilot returns to fly you to Kasane. After a beautifully scenic flight you arrive in Kasane where you will be met by one of our reps and transferred to your lodge. The number of activities available in the area is large and includes game drives, sunset boat cruises, and fishing trips.

Victoria Falls from Zambian side

Today is all about smoke and thunder. Well it’s about the smoke that thunders. That’s a direct translation of Mosi a Tunya, local lingo for the Victoria Falls. Your private guide collects you after breakfast, and you cross the border into Zambia and drive out to the falls. The thundering falls are an unforgettable experience and with your private guide at your side, you’ll be lead right up to the very edge where you can marvel at the brutal power of the falls close up. You may also chose to experience the falls from the Zimbabwean side should you so choose. Following the tour you return to your lodge in Chobe for your last night in Botswana.

Aerial view of Chobe Safari Lodge

Last day of tour and after breakfast you’ll be transported to the airport for your flight back home.

We hope to see you again soon.
